If you asked me a few years ago if I would ever lead a bible study I would have told you heck no! That’s why the wise woman says “never say never”. Today I lead a weekly bible study for a small group of powerful women – who all aspire to follow the Holy Ghost! We have increased our relationship with Christ and have learned how to build our faith.
The foundational scripture for the bible study group is: “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:19-20.
We strongly believe that as we seek God’s face he pours out his spirit and guides us in the ways in which we should go. With that being said I wanted to use this blog to post our weekly notes as a guide so you can grab a friends and lead your own bible study. Are you ready!
Steps:
Grab a Friend
Grab a Bible
Grab a Notepad
Pray: Ask God to show you a scripture that you all can meditate on this week
Unpack the scripture:
Read it once
Write what you learn
Research the context of the scripture (Who, What, When, Where, and Why)
Pray: Welcome Gods presence into your bible study session
Talk about it with your friends!
As you all grow don’t forget to invite new friends and even rotate lead discussants!
